Marotechniek recently supplied 5pcs of heavy duty electric powered winches to a customer who developed a grab installation which will be installed on a ship. The bucket will weigh 55t when filled with a mixture of sand and water.

The main hoist / open-close and boom winches feature grooved drums and identical drives that consist of a 192kW electric motor and a gearbox with a T2 max. of 190.000Nm.
